Meeting other preemie parents in a welcoming space

Many of you have asked us for this service! Préma-Québec organizes monthly discussion groups in six neonatal units (NICU) so that parents who wish to do so may talk with other parents about their experiences. These discussion groups are held directly in the neonatal units, so that parents whose baby is hospitalized can easily join in. The discussion groups are also an opportunity for various professionals to join the group and tell parents about the various services available.

This activity fosters conversations among parents, reduces isolation, and helps forge ties and sustain hope.

Every month, we’re onsite at various hospitals NICU, at 1:30 p.m., to hold our discussion groups:

  • Jewish General Hospital
  • Sherbrooke UHC
  • Sainte-Justine UHC
  • Montreal Children’s Hospital
  • Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital
  • Québec UHC
